Message from Sutharsana: My name is Sutharsana Karthikeyan, and I am a 3rd-year Civil Engineering major with a minor in Real Property Development. This is my second year working with SDAB as the PCW Operations Coordinator. I joined SDAB because the MCC was a place where I met many new people from different backgrounds. I was able to share my story and hear the stories of others. I not only found comfort in my identity, but also learned to take pride in it. Through my work with SDAB, I hope to continue creating a home where people from differing backgrounds can find pride in their stories.

Paige Blankenship (she/her)
Connections Coordinator – Paige manages the recruitment of Cal Poly student hosts and creates custom host pairings for PCW attendees. Questions about student hosts, overnight accommodations, or host pairings can be directed to her.
Message from Paige: I'm Paige Blankenship, a 2nd-year student double majoring in Philosophy and Comparative Ethnic Studies. SDAB was instrumental in helping me find comfort on Cal Poly’s campus. During my time with the MCC and PCW, I aim to increase the visibility of Black students and queer students of color on campus. We are a small but mighty minority, and while we often reference Kimberlé Crenshaw’s concept of intersectionality in passing, we cannot forget that it is also something we must put into action. We should learn from the people, for the people, through meaningful engagement with diverse communities.
